Huazuntlán's Waterfall in San Pedro Soteapan. This incredible tourist site, located in southern Veracruz at 45 minutes from Coatzacoalcos. It features natural swimming pools which are bathed with water from the river Huazuntlán.

Salto de Eyipantla. Located in the city of Catemaco, Veracruz, about 3 hours by car from the City and Port of Coatzacoalcos. El Salto de Eyipantla is a waterfall with a height of 50m. and 20m. width, aproximately. Forms an attractive curtain of water that when it's crossed by sunlight produces a sequence of magic colours, that contrasts with the surrounding landscape.
Peña Hermosa is a small village in the Gulf Coast in Veracruz located on the seashore and about 30 km northwest of Coatzacoalcos. Peña Hermosa has a unique landscape of sea and mountains, a jagged coastline with cliffs and islands and the ocean clean and quiet. The output of a river next to the beach is an added attraction.
Jicacal, Pajapán is located in the Municipality of Pajapan, located 30 minutes from the city of Coatzacoalcos, in order to get there it's necessary to go through to Lomas de Barillas first and then cross the river through launches that are available for travelers. Road trip is about 90 minutes from the city of Coatzacoalcos.
Archaeological Zone in Comalcalco is an archaeological site of the Maya civilization, which is located in the town of Comalcalco, in the state of Tabasco to 3 hrs approximately from the city of Coatzacoalcos. The ruins are a necropolis of the Classic Maya period, built with bricks and stucco of oyster shell . This site is considered as the westernmost of the Mayan culture.
Playa Escondida is located in the town of Catemaco, Playa Escondida has been described as the most beautiful beach between the Yucatan Peninsula and Florida. The beach is isolated between two neighboring cliffs. Access is a road that goes north of Catemaco a Montepio. The output at app. KM 28 is marked and you enter a dirt road 1 1 / 2 km down.
Laguna Encantada (Enchanted Lake)is located in the municipality of San Andres Tuxtla, it says he owes his name to the strange fact that in the dry season water level increases and when it rains its level low. Surrounded by dense vegetation and in the midst of a silence which conveys peace and quiet, also serves as a food source for close villagers who in small and impromptu rafts, can be observed doing the catching fish that live there.
Cascadas Gemelas (Twin Falls ) is located in the town of Catemáco, these are two waterfalls that are almost together, separated by a small distance,  they are filled of beauty and are ideal for spending a pleasant time.

Besides the places mentioned in the tourist area of San Andres Tuxtla, there are many places to visit, such as: Playa Linda, Cascada de Reforma, Poza Negra, La Barra de Sontecomapan, and many spa towns that feed from the river waters.
